Dan and Kim Garland would
travel from Atlanta to Charlotte to visit his parents. During this
ride they would cross over Lake Hartwell several times during a 19
mile strip of land. Each time they would come to a bridge they
would look over the side of the bridge for any boats that were in
the water. They would search both sides of the Highway to find someone to be envious of.
One of those trips they
decided to pull off the road and start driving around the lake.
They had discovered this is a large lake (960 miles of shoreline)
and it is surrounded by the cities of Hartwell, Lavonia, Toccoa,
Seneca, and Anderson. The lake was approx 1.5 hours from Atlanta and
just over 2 ½ hours from Charlotte. This is an ideal location for a
vacation in that you will not have to spend all of your funds on
“Gas Money”.
Lake Hartwell provides an
ideal location for family memories to be born. There is not much of
a night life (except for night fishing or campfires). This is a
slower pace of life that if you are able to enjoy you will remember
it all year long. You will print off your pictures and leave them
on the refrigerator just to get a smile that will last for a while.
Dan and Kim have promised to
provide a vacation home that allows all of their guests the ability
to relax and enjoy. We rely on providing quality bed/ furniture/
and an upscale environment. We listen to our guests and their
suggestions. We act on there suggestions and they are pleasantly
surprised when those suggestions had been acted on when they return
the following year. These suggestions have been more lighting to
the dock, a concrete walkways, high speed internet access, bigger
TVs, can openers, bigger dock, wider pathway. As you will tell, we
have acted on these suggestions and our guests have returned; over
and over again.
